  • Tiger Gaming Software

Tiger Gaming recently updated their software, making it much more pleasant to play there. Before the update, they were definitely missing some key features that make online poker a positive playing experience.

Instant hand histories have finally arrived at the Tiger Gaming tables. People that like multi-tabling will be pleased to know that you can now play up to 30 tables at once, and the tables are even resizable. And if you like stats but don’t use a HUD, you can even view some basic stats at your tables.

Tiger Gaming has the requisite advance action buttons. I noticed that compared to other download free poker sites, the No Limit tables do not have the option for two common advance action commands: "call any" and "raise any". This is actually a good thing since it can be a huge source of tilt while playing No Limit when they are clicked by accident.

Tiger Gaming’s chat interface has the option of showing dealer chat, player chat, both, or neither. And like the best sites such as a Full Tilt Poker download, there is also a four color deck available which makes multi-tabling easier by making it easier to see different suits.

When you are at the tables and you elect to bet, you can either bet the minimum amount or you have to press the "bet other/raise other" button. Pressing this button brings up a pop up where you can bet as much as you want. While it sounds like an annoying extra step, it’s actually not bad, although some may not like the fact it is automatically set to bet the pot. A decent player will know that this is can be both a bad or a good thing. On a PokerStars download (where there is no bet pot button), a guy might bet three or four dollars into a ten dollar pot, but at Tiger they will often just bet the pot because it's so easy to do. This, in turn, destroys your odds at drawing and you have to fold. There are many situations in poker when betting the pot is very bad, though, and this is when the preset amount is a great advantage for you.

Unlike a lot of other money poker sites, people can leave their table after winning a big pot, and then they can buy back in for any amount right after. Many players greatly disapprove of sites that allow this since “ratholing” is heavily frowned upon. Tiger also has different maximums and minimums at their cash game tables. While most sites feature 10 or 20BB minimums, Tiger has 40-50BB minimums. This is a good feature since it keeps the table full of players with money and keeps the guys who buy-in very short away from the table (they can go play free bet sportsbooks).

This article regarding the interface at Tiger Gaming should help you decide whether it’s the right site for you. While Tiger isn’t the best site online, it is at least better than playing with Bingo codes. Thanks for reading my blog today; I’ll be back later this month or early next month.
